I first learned about Sociocracy when taking a Permaculture Design Course with Rhonda Baird and others. I have several areas where I am using elements of Sociocracy.
The first is in my role as a congregational life consultant with the UUA, where I am helping to introduce Sociocracy as a system of governance that is more inclusive, especially for people from historically marginalized communities.
The others are in my environmental and racial justice activities in my local community with many existing and emerging organizations, including the Kent Environmental Council.
