Complex selection question

Context: We are trying to be better about formally “accepting” the selection of a leader or delegate (double links) from a “child” circle, on the “parent” circle. In otherwords, the Narrow circle selects John as their delegate to the Broad circle. In the past, the Broad circle has mostly just welcomed John as a new member, but I know that technically, Broad circle needs to formally consent to John’s new role on the Broad circle.

How is this handled though? Is is treated like a Proposal at the Broad circle to accept the selection of the delegate sent up from Narrow circle. In that case, one person could object to that proposal, the facilitator could attempt to modify proposal (shortern term, measure, etc.), and if modification doesn’t work, then the Narrow circle has to accept that decision and select a new delegate - right? Am I getting this right?

Yes.
Remember it’s about “real” objections - and that would be rare. And if it happens, it would be crucial - like time constraints or lack of trust.
Also, there’s a good chance you can shorten the term and measure concern over selecting someone new.
