Member access to documents without a Google account

How do we want to support our members who need access to our working documents but who want to avoid having a Google account?

We have a few options, that I can see:

  1. Request that members accept a SoFAN Google Account, which they can use fairly minimally when they need to access spaces like our Google Drive.
  2. Use the “Anyone with link” permissions setting. I think we would only want to use this on specific sections of our Google Drive, which might be sufficient for particular members. Would we be concerned about these links “leaking” out to others?
  3. Find spaces other than Google Drive and Google Docs for note-taking and draft work. Members might talk with their circles and see if they are interested in exploring other possible tools and spaces for taking notes and drafting documents.

Are there options that I’m missing? What do you all think about these options? Should we try to have a policy, or work case-by-case for the time being and see what patterns emerge?
