We were talking about legal incorporation of Sociocracy into a non-profit and I am sharing our bylaws for Many Turtles Learning Collective, associated with Common Ground Ecovillage in NC.

Would you be willing to tell us a bit more about the link between Many Turtles and Common Ground? Is it the legal name of the whole community, or is it a partner organization, or a sub-group working or living on site? Thanks!

And if other communities wish to share your bylaws here, please do! This is very rich for new communities forming and for me! I’ll change the topic if more bylaws come in that are not exactly the same thing (other legal structures, other areas)

Hello,

Many Turtles Learning Collective is the non-profit educational branch of Common Ground Ecovillage, which is currently organized as a for-profit LLC (Hart’s mill, LLC). Common Ground is currently finishing infrastructure and the first houses will be built this summer.
