Sociocracy in pop culture

I recently started watching “Atypical,” a TV show centered around 18-year-old Samuel Gardner, who is on the autism spectrum.

What I really like about this show is that it highlights restorative practices through the support of Sam’s family and friends in his journey to find a girlfriend, attend college, and gain independence. One example of this is, when Sam’s girlfriends convince their high school to arrange a silent prom so Sam can participate. I don’t want to give away any more spoilers and I really recommend watching this show.

Watching Atypical made me think that there should be more movies, tv shows, books where we can find examples of sociocracy, non-violent communication, restorative practices etc, even if they are not calling them like that.
